Paper cuts are by far the least troublesome aspect of this craft. Obsession. That’s the real issue. I can’t stop drawing, cutting and folding, and when forced to stop, I can’t stop thinking about lines, angles, and surface planes. I spent the weekend working on a tree with a cat sitting in the branches. Trees don’t have straight lines, their branches go every which way, making then a special challenge to design. I’m still working on it. Meanwhile my nine year old son caught the bug and feverishly cut out Eiffel towers, ships and birds.
